Heidi Barr co-founded of the PA Flax Project in 2020 to reestablish the flax to linen industry in Pennsylvania.
She drove up to Vermont with a car full of flax processing tools (they are always in her car, ready to use). She is a retired professional dancer, and created and ran a linen kitchen textile business for over 11 years. Heidi has a wide range of artistic skills from sewing, spinning and jewelry-making to costume design. Stitching and dimension are key features in her flax artwork.
